Yongzheng: Famille-rose Dish
Description:
A famille-rose lotus dish decorated with leafs and peonies. The motifs, intricate design and colours heavily point to a Yongzheng period of make, though there is no reign mark at the backside.

The soft and abundant flowers seem natural and vivid in their overall arrangement and appearance. The blossoms are painted with exceptional verve, more dexterously than any wucai peonies. [...] The use of the brush is exquisitely refined, and the color scheme is graceful and gentle, just like a "boneless" style flower painting.
